Tiffith wanted to know what it would take for him and TDE to be given a revenue share from Spotify’s ad-supported streaming service. Ek told him that it would require renegotiating the company’s entire deal with Spotify. According to The Verge, the two CEOs discussed potential changes to the deal including reducing the amount of music that is exclusive to Spotify Premium and offering more exclusive content on TDE’s own platform.
